Speaker 1:

The only real happiness that we experience in life comes from freedom. Hello, welcome to the Adam Fierstein podcast. This is my very first episode under my own personal brand. As some of you know, I hosted the Forge podcast and I'm the current co-host of the TSG podcast. Here is the space under my brand, my website and this podcast where I can talk about all things from the masculinity, the men's movement, what it means to be masculine in America, to business, to entrepreneurship, all the way through to the other end of the spectrum, where we have TSG and where we focus on educating people who have an interest in learning and utilizing AI for business and entrepreneurial success. So I'm really excited to be here, to have this on my own show and really talk about things at Liberty. This is the place where I don't have necessarily a product or an audience that I need to satisfy in particular. I can just voice my opinions, welcome yours and build a community behind my own brand. One of the things that's going to be very, very important that I'm going to focus on, because it's my life and what I can talk about with the highest degree of integrity is masculinity, business and masculine business success. So I thought really hard about what I could talk about here on my very, very first episode.

Speaker 1:

And I heard somebody say not too long ago, maybe a couple of months, that the only real happiness that we experience in life comes from freedom. Interestingly enough, when I first heard that I thought no, no, no, I've got this beautiful wife, this incredible family. We have six kids and nephews and brothers and parents and all kinds of things in my life. That's where happiness comes from. But then I realized, after I thought about that for a while, love emboldens us, right. Love empowers us, it supports us when things aren't going our way. It keeps us lit in the dark, it allows us a way out into the light, where we want to be. But does it actually make us happy? I don't know about that and I haven't come to a concrete conclusion. But what I do know, I do know for a fact that, while love may empower us and carry us through our darkest times and gives us that mechanism, that connection to others, when we share our light, we share our victory, we share our success. Love allows us to do exactly that. But freedom in my own life, thinking about all the different experiences I've had, where did freedom fit in? And I have to say, every day I draw closer to the conclusion that freedom does is what brings happiness to us.

Speaker 1:

The ability to do the things we want, when we want, how we want, provides a tremendous amount of happiness. It does parallel that old cliche that money can't buy happiness, except for money can help largely in providing freedom. Freedom, then, provides happiness. Can I write a check for happiness? I cannot. No matter how much money any of us have, we can't write a check and expect happiness in exchange. What we can do is pursue our dreams. Can do is pursue our dreams, engage the hard parts in life, champion our goals, create wealth in our, in our own measure, whatever that is that leads us to freedom. That then invokes happiness in our existence. Love is there for sharing that. Love is there to help us through the darkest nights. Love is there to bind us to the people that we care most about. So those things live in harmony, and I find that fascinating.

Speaker 1:

So I thought that little thought experiment might be perfect for my first episode, because everything we talk about from here out will likely have something to do with that. Something to do with either freedom, freedom being happiness, love, hard work, goals, championing those goals, getting to where we want to be in life on our own terms. Most everything we will ever talk about throughout this podcast will have something to do with one of those concepts. To kick it off, I want to plant a seed. The seed is there are no heroes in paradise. You think about that long enough you'll realize you can think about it every day the rest of your life and not figure out the entirety of what that stands for. It's been a mantra of mine since I was a young man, very young man. I don't even remember exactly when it came into my awareness. No heroes in paradise. We're going to get into that a lot over the coming years. You're going to see that on my personal website. It's just another way of looking at life, to help us embrace personal responsibility and empower ourselves without having to depend on anybody outside of our own existential existence.

Speaker 1:

Simply described, no heroes in paradise means without challenge. There can be no heroes Without something to test. Our mettle against our mettle, our wherewithal, our fortitude has no value. What it really means is that the value in life come. The rewards in life, the greatest rewards come from the things that we struggle with, the things, the opposition, the projects, the dreams that we invest the most energy in, are what merit the greatest reward. Now. That's very, very powerful in this world. It's very powerful right now, on the dawn of a brand new optimism that we haven't had in America in a long time.

Speaker 1:

This is not a political show. I don't care to discuss politics. What I am going to say is my observation of the American community, for which I've been a part of for just shy of a half a century. I see optimism for the first time in my life and I'm very, very excited for that. And I hope, to you listening whether you agree with the way politics are going or you disagree, please don't blind yourself to that obvious truth in our community and our American family that there is optimism once again in America. And when there's optimism in America, it rings around the entire planet, to all of the human family. I bring that up because I want to have that be a precursor to everything we talk about.

Speaker 1:

We're going to support optimism in the American family. We're going to support optimism in the American community because, for the first time in a long time, we have a chance to see things get better. If we're not conscious to that, if we're not aware of it. If we're still stuck in this opposition mode you're a red guy, you're a blue guy, you're a this person, that person, whatever it is we'll miss this. We'll miss, as people in this community miss, the opportunity to harness our part of that optimism and the inevitable conclusion which is a more successful American community. And we all have a part in that. We all have to contribute to bring that to light, to bring that into fruition, and I want to share with you some of the ways we can do that.

Speaker 1:

And today we're going to start by talking about the power. And today we're going to start by talking about the power that freedom brings into our life. No-transcript. One of the key elements of freedom, one of the true assets freedom represents, is the ability. If we are unrestricted, if we are without shame and without blame, what are we free to do? We're free to be authentic, authentically us. We're free to say and speak and discuss and open ourselves up vulnerably to others, with confidence, because this community, as it heals, as we reunite our country, one of the great beauties is the freedom we find in being able to express ourselves, to speak vulnerably, to say the things we otherwise don't think we can say we have that freedom.

Speaker 1:

We have that freedom thanks to the Constitution that started this country that we live by, and that's one of the most powerful parts of freedom that absolutely beckons happiness is the ability to express ourselves. That doesn't mean we express ourselves through damaging somebody else, through picking on somebody else, through the judgment of somebody else, through shaming somebody else, but rather through the reciprocation of information between two people, even if they disagree, completely disagree. We find ourselves free to embrace the gratitude that comes from discourse between people Respectful, honorable, caring, loving discourse and the freedom to engage it. When we talk to people in a manner that is respectful, when we come from a place of gratitude, while in pursuit of freedom, we can be more vulnerable because we take a leadership position, and we take that and the way that that leadership position impacts the people we're talking to is it empowers them to do the same. Impacts the people we're talking to as it empowers them to do the same, and as long as we don't reduce their consciousness, reduce their awareness to shame and blame, but rather see what they say, hear what they say, see their point in a way that maybe adds to our own lives, we're sharing in the growth of two human beings who never have to agree. That's the beauty in the freedom to express yourself is talking to another human being with absolute, uncompromising integrity and becoming a better person for it.

Speaker 1:

What a powerful way to experience life. What an incredible gift to experience life in this American community. Just nothing I can be more grateful for. We live in a land where the pursuit of happiness is promised. That makes choice even more powerful. We can choose to alter our future right now and we can go out and embrace that choice, pursue that happiness by whatever mechanism we choose. It's just a decision in America to change the way things are for us, and it starts by taking personal responsibility. Once we realize our lives are our faults, that the circumstances, situation and the things we've experienced in this life are because of the decisions that we made, we're again more free. We're again, as a result, made more happy, and I mean this especially to the men hearing this purpose.

Speaker 1:

What are we without purpose? Every one of us has a purpose. I don't care what situation you're in, I don't care where you're at, I don't care where you're going to sleep tonight. I don't care with who you had to sleep with last night. We're not here for no reason. There's not a soul on this planet not crafted by God without a purpose. Freedom gives us a chance to find our purpose and live it, to find out why we're here individually and pursue the fulfillment of that purpose because it was given to you. Whatever God you want to blame for it, it was given to you by a benevolent force. Your purpose is for good, no matter what's happened, no matter how limited your options seem, I promise, through the thread of benevolence we've talked about it on the other, shows the thread of benevolence that God instills in each one of us, that connects us to every other human being on this planet and, some people say, every other thing in this universe. I personally believe the latter is that thread of benevolence. That thread of benevolence connects our purpose and all people. We find that purpose. We exercise the freedom to find our purpose, discover why we're here. Again, happiness is the result, happiness on a level that most couldn't possibly comprehend without finding their purpose.

Speaker 1:

Courage, depending on your perspective on society, courage is something that's been largely suppressed in recent years. Many of us have opinions and things we want to say that other people are saying but we ourselves have not felt free to do. Now. That's our fault. The things I haven't said are my fault, but we're coming into a time now where we can express that Courage may be soon rewarded once again. Courage to stand up and take a leadership role in your family, in your life and in your community. The courage to look in the mirror and say it's my fault and thank God that it is. And I don't say that to make people feel guilty, to want to beat anybody down who's already in a bad situation, to have to go in the bathroom, open up a mirror and look at it and say this is my fault. That's not the point. The point is this If you created it, you can change it. If you own it, you're free to give it away.

Speaker 1:

The difference between people who can and cannot take responsibility for their lives oftentimes is courage. It's hard, we all struggle with it. I don't have it mastered. I struggle with it too. But when it really counts and I've got to make a decision that affects my family, my community, my neighborhood, my city, my town, my business, whatever, it's courage that I have to connect with. Courage is the light that shines on the freedom to make the right decision. It's extremely empowering to own your position, to own your place, to own your circumstance in your entire life. As long as it's somebody else's fault, how do we get there? How do we move forward? How do I move forward if it's somebody else's fault? My life isn't going the way I want it to, versus it is my fault. I'm here as a result of a series of decisions that I made and therefore I can recreate a new environment in the future by simply making different decisions and having the courage to seek them. To conclusion Courage. Courage is the light of freedom. We'll talk a lot about small steps.

Speaker 1:

I've been on both ends of the financial spectrum. I've been completely bankrupt, hauled into bankruptcy court by an armed guard in federal daylight because of what they thought would be a protest, because I had the single largest turnout of any bankruptcy hearing that my attorney, the magistrate himself or the federal security service had ever seen, right here in Denver, colorado. That's a pretty bad day. Man, that was a bad day, turned out, a lot of those people were my friends and it actually ended up being a good day, but bankrupt nonetheless. Bankrupt, penniless, on the eve of the 2008 collapse, the next six years of my life would be absolute, pure hell. It was nobody's fault but my own, and I would march for six years until I found the right place, until I finally got to a place where I could feed myself, I could feed my family and I could take small incremental steps similar to the ones that got me through that six years to get me to where I am now. My wife and I are in the top 1% of all earners in the state of Colorado.

Speaker 1:

In 2014, I went to a job interview to make $25 an hour under a contract while the nails in my shoes were poking through the flesh of my feet to the point they bled out the top of my work boots, because I couldn't afford shoes. I couldn't sure as hell couldn't afford boots and I couldn't afford gas in my truck to get home from the job site that day or not the job site, the office where we had the interview. But I did make it Fast forward. I sold that company that hired me which I later would buy, and turned around and sold it for millions and millions of dollars. It's small incremental steps that lead to large transformations. It's not overnight. I don't care what they tell you on YouTube, I don't care what somebody else says, I don't care what happens to them. Some people do. They get wealthy. If that's your goal, they can get wealthy very, very quickly, quicker now than ever. If that's you, then that's great, but it may not be. And the courage to take the steps in that direction if that's your goal, that's what will get you across the finish line, one small step at a time.

Speaker 1:

There's something else in addition to optimism in America, again, that's been coming our way for a while. It's been part of our world for a while, but it's more accessible now than ever. We talk about this a lot at TSG, but I want to show how it can relate to the pursuit of our goals, to the pursuit of freedom and, ultimately, the champion of happiness. There's this technology called artificial intelligence. It's a very powerful weapon to those of us looking to make our lives a different way. Something that has not been available to the masses like ever before in the history of humankind is AI. We're going to talk a little bit about that on the show.

Speaker 1:

We're going to talk a little bit about how the pursuit of happiness, the pursuit of freedom, is accelerated supercharged Nitrous injected by this technology and is accessible to every single one of us. It's a very powerful thing. It amplifies your creativity, provides resource from collective human wisdom like we've never seen before, like humanity's never had access to, never seen before, like humanity's never had access to. It frees up time so that we can think about our futures. We can guide the ships that are our own lives, reconcile indifference, empower ourselves and step forward with confidence, knowing we have instantaneous access to collective human wisdom through this incredible utility AI. Everything from passive income using the technology to building your empire, all of it more accessible, all of it more easily attained now than since the first human walked on two feet.

Speaker 1:

Imagine a right now future, right now, where American optimism is starting to increase, starting to climb, and that optimism's super charged with the technology that gives us access to collective human wisdom. All happening simultaneously. I don't care what CNN tells you, I don't care what Fox News happening simultaneously. I don't care what CNN tells you, I don't care what Fox News tells you, I don't care what anybody tells you. That's the opportunity we have right now, today, this moment. It's not coming. It won't be here by Christmas, it isn't going to be here next year, it won't be here after the next president is elected. It's happening right now.

Speaker 1:

So these are some of the examples of some of the things we're going to talk about and some of the ways I want to affect my fellow American family members. I want this channel to be a beacon to those who are attempting something that others have told them they cannot do, and I want them to hear this message and realize that it's absolutely within their ability. So I hope you stay with us. I invite you to hear this message and realize that it's absolutely within their ability, so I hope you stay with us. I invite you to sign up, subscribe. Thank you for being with me today, thank you for listening and I can't wait to talk to you again. Thank you.
